The peaceful waterside village of Dittisham boasts two pubs, including the Ferry Boat Inn, plus the popular Anchorstone Café, serving freshly caught seafood. In addition to this there is a convenient shop/post office. Greenway House, the former holiday home of Agatha Christie now owned by the National Trust, is a short ferry side away from Dittisham quay. The Blue Flag awarded beach at Blackpool Sands and the stunning Start Bay coastline are just a 20 minute drive away.

Whilst there is no allocated parking at the cottage, spaces can usually be found on 'The Ham' nearby (approx 100m), or on 'The Level' at the top of the village. Wireless broadband internet available, and telephone for local and incoming calls (limited mobile coverage). Strictly no smoking. One small, well-behaved (and well-managed!) dog is welcome. Bed linen and towels are provided. Guests will need to bring their own beach towels.
