Brixham is a working fishing port on the southern side of Torbay, in the English Riviera region, which is recognised for its sunny warm climate all year. A life-size model of Sir Francis Drake's ship, The Golden Hind, is the focal point of the harbour. Small homes in uphill tiny winding alleyways leading to the harbour, where all the activity is centred, make up the loveliest section of Brixham. Brixham fish market sells to major restaurants in the UK and is home to Britain's largest fishing fleet, which often lands their catch in the harbour. Brixham is a perfect place for a typical holiday, with several family attractions in the Torbay area, including two Blue Flag beaches, Paignton Zoo, and a variety of regattas other nautical events throughout the year. There are several safe cycle trails in the area, as well as the South West Coastal Path and several of the region's greatest golf courses.
