Situated on the edge of the charming village of Porlock, the property enjoys uninterrupted views out across the marshes to Porlock Bay and is a short walk away from the village’s terrific range of restaurants, pubs, cafes, and tea rooms. With the famous South West Coastal Path and Exmoor National Park on the doorstep, Splatt Barn truly is an ideal base for walking and nature enthusiasts alike.

Porlock is a wonderful working Exmoor village and boasts three pubs, two grocery shops, a traditional local butcher, chemist, cash machine, hardware shop, visitor centre, several art galleries and a range of independent restaurants, shops and tea rooms.Porlock Weir is approximately 1.5 miles from Porlock and is well worth a visit. There are two restaurants, a pub and a range of individual shops such as tea rooms, Exmoor Glass, etc.Many of the shops in Porlock and Porlock Weir are open during traditional hours of 9 am to 5 pm, although hours are often extended during the summer season. Conversely, some shops also reduce their opening hours out of season.Minehead is the nearest town, approximately 6 miles from Porlock. Here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrison's are both situated on the outskirts of the town and have longer opening hours), most major high street banks with cash machines, plus a range of other shops throughout the town.
