As for shops, the village boasts two small supermarkets, a butcher, pharmacy, hardware store, Post Office, art gallery, and more! For those who do not wish to cook, there are at least eight places to eat from breakfast to dinner in three pubs, various restaurants, tea rooms and hotels - at prices to suit all pockets.There are few more delightful surroundings than Porlock Vale, nestled at the foot of Porlock Hill, bounded to the north by its shingle ridge and breathtaking views towards the Bristol Channel and to the south by the rolling hills of Exmoor National Park. There's plenty to see and do whether you chose to do this on foot, cycle or by vehicle around the 'picture postcard' villages and hamlets. Or you may consider local horse riding options or taking in a safari in a Land Rover.
