The M5 is approximately 40 minutes away.The famous Tarr Steps is approximately 3 miles away , Winsford Hill, with no end of walking and breathtaking views is 10 minutes from the cottage and the pretty villages of Withypoole, Winsford and Exford all withing 20 minutes. You will find good places to eat at all these villages with Exford and Withypoole both having a Post Office and Village shop. The White Horse at Exford does an amazing Carvery on Sundays, all year round and the Tea Rooms at both Withypool and Winsford are very popular. Dunkery Beacon is approximate 35 minutes away and on reaching the top, on a clear day, you will be rewarded by beautiful views across to Wales in one direction and Dartmoor, in the other.
