Dolwylan Cottage & Barn

These charming properties rest near the picture-perfect coast of New Quay, Mid Wales and consist of a one-bedroom barn and a two-bedroom cottage. Situated in Cwmtydu, the properties make a lovely base for exploring Wales, or even as an escape to relax and unwind in the fresh sea air. With off-road parking, sea views and character features, these pet-friendly holiday homes are a superb choice for a family break or friends sharing. Take advantage of your closeness to the glorious Welsh coastline by walking the Ceredigion Coast Path; start off by heading down the short walk to Cwmtydu, a delightful little shingle beach with stream which was once a smugglers cove. Continue along the Coast Path, soaking in the spectacular sights as you explore the stunning coastline up towards New Quay and down towards Llangrannog and Penbryn beaches which have been included in the Sunday Times' 2022 selection of the 50 best beaches in the UK; the options are truly limitless! At the end of an action-packed day, take a break from cooking by indulging in some fish and chips at New Quay or a spot of pub fare at The Ship in Llangrannog or the Ship Inn at Tresaith! For the adventurous, try the white water canoeing at Llandysul or perhaps a more relaxing paddle further downstream on the River Teifi at Cilgerran. Those looking for a more leisurely time can take in the Georgian delights of coastal Aberaeron and then travel inland to tour the 18th century estate of Llanerchaeron, preserved by the National Trust, where an exquisite walled garden and an ornamental lake offer a truly idyllic setting for a stroll. Further afield, Cardigan offers a visit to its Castle which hosted the first Welsh Eisteddfod in 1176, along with a range of independent shops, galleries, cafes, pubs, supermarkets, a leisure centre/swimming pool and a fantastic cinema at Theatr Mwldan. Enjoy a coastal break with loved ones at the Dolwylan Cottage & Barn.

Just 7 miles away is Aberaeron, a lively Georgian harbour town with multi-coloured cottages and a good selection of restaurants and inns. This wonderful area of Wales not only has stunning sandy beaches, but also beautiful countryside walks and the outstanding Devil's Bridge is world-renowned for the three bridges, the narrow gauge steam railway and the cascading waterfalls.
