Llanystumdwy is a charming Welsh-speaking village resting between Chwilog and Morfa Bychan. The village is well-known as being the location of the National Writer’s Centre for Wales, and offers a good selection of attractions, including the Amgueddfa Lloyd George Museum, walks along the Afon Dwyfor, and the Rabbit Farm. Dining options include the welcoming Tafarn Y Plu, where you can sample local ales and hearty pub meals in a traditional inn set within a Grade II listed building. Just outside of the town is Criccieth, where you will find a well-stocked petrol station for picking up essentials, the remarkable Criccieth Castle, Traeth Criccieth, Marine Beach, and the eateries of Swn-y-mor, Poachers Restaurant and Idris Café.
