  • "The cottage is settled perfectly above Huisinish beach."

In winter you often have the surroundings completely fit yourself. The area is great for hiking, walking and wildlife watching. The cottage itself is very cosy and tidy. In the kitchen is everything you need and there is much space, so homecooking is a pleasure. We loved to relax in the living room by the fireplace, with a view on the beach and the sheep coming by.

Where you’ll be staying

TARBERT

Lochgilphead 14 miles.

Built around an inlet on Loch Fyne, Tarbert has long been both a harbour and a key strategic point in the history of Scotland's rugged West Coast. Tarbert once required three castles to protect it, and the ruins of one of these can still be visited today. Built around the natural harbour, fishing and sailing continue to play an important part in the life of the village. There are many annual events to interest all tastes including the sailing regatta on Loch Fyne, seafood and music festivals. The 87 mile Kintyre Way stretches from Tarbert to the south of the Kintyre Peninsula, and offers walking for all levels and with ferry connections to Islay and Arran, there is simply no better location to relax and explore this rugged and picturesque part of Scotland.
