This light and airy cottage, attached to owner’s home, sits on the slopes above the quay in the Cornish village of Mevagissey, with stunning views across the valley and sea views across the harbour towards beautiful St Austell Bay.

Offering cosy, yet spacious and modern accommodation, this Mevagissey cottage has two comfortable bedrooms, both boasting en-suite facilities, including a double on the ground floor with an en-suite bathroom and a super king-size double (can be twin on request) on the first floor with an en-suite shower room, making it perfect for two couples, a family or group of friends looking to get away together.

The spacious, sunny, open plan living area provides a sociable space for everyone to relax in and discuss the day, and leads out to a south-facing sun terrace and private garden with sea views.

A woodburner ensures that Nectan is a cosy destination all year round.

The picturesque fishing quay is just a short walk downhill from this Mevagissey cottage; alive with a vibrant atmosphere year-round, there’s plenty to see in this pretty port, including quaint cottages, fishermen landing their catch of the day on the harbour and an abundance of gift shops, cafes and pubs dotted along the narrow streets and the waterfront.

For a complete contrast of scenery, a short drive from this Mevagissey cottage takes you to a number of fabulous attractions including the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and Caerhays Castle.

Families will love to visit the many attractions in the area including the Shipwreck Centre at Charlestown, Wheal Martyn China Clay Museum and the World of Model Railways.

Attractive, sandy beaches are also plentiful in this delightful area of Cornwall, ensuring that there is something for everyone to do from this wonderful Mevagissey cottage.

MEVAGISSEY

St. Austell 5.5 miles; Truro 16 miles.

The perfect Cornish fishing village, with winding cobbled streets and a picturesque harbour full of boats. Stunning walks lead along the coast in both directions, with sandy beaches, high cliffs and hidden coves to explore. The village has an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants, whilst just up the road are the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A ferry from Mevagissey to Fowey also runs daily between Easter and September. Spend some time at the Tall Ships harbour at Charlestown (7 miles) with its shipwreck museum, or among the tropical biomes of the world-famous Eden Project (11 miles). The stunning coastline, fabulous beaches and renowned gardens of the beautiful Roseland Peninsula are a short drive down the coast while Truro, with its shops, restaurants, theatre and cathedral can be reached by car in half an hour.
