  • "What an amazing week we had!"

I don’t normally do reviews but our stay was most definitely the best Uk holiday we have had by far and my son actually said it was the best holiday ever! Being a family of 7 I looked for a house big enough for us and this house exceeded this, above and beyond. The house it self is just absolutely beautiful, pictures on here do not do it justice at all. It was very well equipped with everything we could possibly need and spotless on arrival. I actually had the best weeks sleep here then I have in a very long time, our bed was so very comfy and warm. Ellen & Robert were quite literally the best hosts we have ever come across, my husband said he would return purely to spend more time with them. Three of my children ages 4,10 &12 wanted to go fishing, my husband and eldest daughter had gone out for the day. My two year old was having a bad day and wouldn’t stop crying, I was worried my other 3 would miss out on fishing but Robert was more than happy to watch and teach them and they had the best time! I am so grateful to Robert for sharing this experience with my children. Me and my husband also went clay pigeon shooting with Robert and Ellen, which my husband thoroughly enjoyed and was pretty good at it, me on the other hand wasn’t so great at it but still had amazing time with lots of laughs. Ellen & Robert- Thank you both so much, you are both such lovely people and really hope we stay in contact. We can’t wait to come back xxx

A visit to the Pannier Market is a treat for lovers of local produce and hop on a boat from here to Lundy Island or a cruise along the coast.

North Devon has some beautiful stretches of soft golden sands and award winning beaches, surfing waves, sandcastle competitions and water sports galore.

Westward Ho!, which takes its name from the novel by Charles Kingsley has a wide stretch of beach separating the Northam Burrows with a pebble ridge, here golf lovers can try their hand at the Royal North Devon Golf Club, reputedly the oldest links course in the UK or maybe a horse-ride along the beach.
