Llanfaelog has its own church, St Maelog's, which was completed in 1848, as well as a few shops and eateries. Traeth Llydan, a coarse sandy beach backed by sand dunes, as well as Porth Tyn Tywyn beach and the lovely lake of Llyn Maelog, are all close by and both offer lovely waterside walks. Rhosneigr, a prominent seaside village that won the Green Coast Seaside Award for its two sandy beaches and popular watersports centre, is close by.
