Visit the city of Hereford, home of the Mappa Mundi, the largest and most elaborate pre-15th century map in existence, which resides in the cathedral alongside the famous Chained Library, which houses a collection of over 1500 rare books from as early as the 8th century. A few miles south you can visit The Forest of Dean, or venture East to the Malvern Hills, another area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
