Looms Barn has been designed and equipped for guests using a wheelchair. There’s a ramp to the wide front door opening into the hall and through a wide entrance to the living space. A wheelchair can fit under the dining table. There is a step to the garden at the back however if that’s inaccessible there’s plenty of space and furniture in the private courtyard at the back of the house. The twin bedroom has wheelchair access and the furniture will be placed so that you can wheel a chair next to the bed and into the wet room. The shower and toilet are designed for a guest in a commode chair however there are no grab rails. The windowsill is low and the central section can be removed in case of fire to enable someone to be lifted out to safety in case of a fire.
