The town is steeped in history; construction of the Minster began in 1220 and continued until 1425 and over the centuries has been continually added to. Today, skilled artisans and masons are employed in the upkeep of this magnificent building. Other historical building include Ann Routh's hospital, an Almshouse built in 1749, the Corn Exchange and Assembly Rooms to name a few. Beverley has a wide variety of shops, eateries and other amenities but is within reach of York, Bridlington and Hull with their own excellent attractions, and all of this is surrounded by glorious countryside just waiting to be discovered.
