Street markets have been held in Ludlow since the 12th century. Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday of the year, a traditional open-air market is held in the town square. The 'Local to Ludlow' produce market on Thursdays and the Antique & Flea market on Sundays feature more than forty stalls selling a variety of goods, including fresh produce, cheeses, books, and a selection of local crafts. For those who enjoy fine dining and shopping, Ludlow is the place to be. In addition to its numerous restaurants and bars, the town is home to a number of boutique-style clothing and gift shops.
