The Three Crowns Hotel, which dates to the 1200s, is in this town with a rich history. The town of Chagford is highly recognised for its cultural events, including the annual Two Hills Race and festivals of literature, music, and film. For a different kind of getaway, Exeter, a lively, gorgeous city, is only a little over 21 miles away and is worth a visit. Okehampton, a quaint and lovely town, is about 12 miles away.
