There are a few bars in the area, including Farren's pub, which claims to be Ireland's "most northerly pub," as well as a convenience shop and post office. Banba's Crown, named after a mythical Irish goddess, was built by the British Admirality in 1805 and is visited by thousands of tourists every year. Another reason to visit this rural location is that parts from the blockbuster smash Star Wars: The Last Jedi were filmed here, with Luke Skywalker (actor Mark Hamill) even stopping into Farren's tavern.
