The Pennine and Teesdale Ways run alongside the village and provide excellent walking through beautiful countryside whilst the magnificent waterfalls at High Force are also worth visiting. The stunning countryside in this area also offers great opportunities for bird watching and cycling, making it an excellent vacation spot for those who love the great outdoors.
