Molland is small village located on the southern edge of Exmoor in North Devon, just outside the boundary of the National Park.The popular villages of Withypool and Dulverton are both approx 8 miles away. Dulverton is actually a small town and is known as the southern gateway to Exmoor and is well equipped with shops including Post Office, butchers, bakery, fish & chip shop, greengrocer, late-opening supermarket, art gallery, hairdressers, guns and fishing tackle shop. There are also a number of quality boutiques, interesting gift shops plus some lovely restaurants, tea rooms and pubs. The picturesque river Barle winds through the centre of the town and is a popular location for keen kayakers.South Molton is also around 8 miles away and is an interesting and lively country town, with a good selection of shops and pubs. Thursdays and Saturdays are market day with a local market in the historic Pannier Market hall, as well as a busy livestock market.Barnstaple is the regional centre for North Devon and offers a more comprehensive selection of commercial, retail and leisure facilities, the famous Pannier Market and Butchers Row is worth a visit– excellent for both meat and locally caught fish.Exmoor provides a great base for walking, cycling, horse riding and exploring.
