There are walks for everyone, from easy strolls through the countryside to strenuous climbs of Skiddaw or the well-known Catbells. Take a fantastic boat trip around Derwentwater, or check out Castlerigg Stone Circle, Jennings Brewery, and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake. There are many things to do and see with children, and the area is surrounded by beautiful parks and the Lake District Wildlife Park, making it a fantastic Lake District destination year-round.
